Our waters are beautiful, yet to take in the full beauty it really helps to get off of land and enjoy them by being on the water. That’s where boating safety comes in. The fun of life is in the involvement, and it’s a lot more fun to be involved when you’re also being safe. One of the easiest methods to being safe on the water is to be educated. Know your equipment, your skill level and know your limitations. Because it doesn’t take much to go from a fun afternoon on the water to something less fun and possibly expensive.
Below you’ll find many valuable resources, from both state and federal, to help you get educated so that you are able to stay safe. No matter if you’re headed to The Dam Shop for a little lunch, out for a sunset boat ride with neighbors or checking out the fish shelters for a little easy angling. Be sure to do so with safety first as your focus.
